- PAYMENTS:
- BOOKINGS:
- Telephone bookings will be held without deposit for a maximum of 24 hours.
- Will be deemed confirmed upon receipt of the completed booking form and the deposit. Completion of the booking form signifies that the terms and conditions are accepted.
- The School with email confirmation of the booking upon receipt of both the booking form and the deposit.
- PAYMENTS:
- A deposit of 100€ per person/per course is required if the booking is over 28 days from the start of the course.
- The balance payment is due 28 days prior to the start date of the course.
- If the booking is within 28days of the start date of the course the full balance is required.
- If the balance has not been received within 21 days prior to the start date of the course the School has the right to sell the Student's place. If the School is able to sell the place the student will only forfeit the deposit. If the School is unable to sell the space the Student will be liable for the full fee. If the student fails to pay the balance due, it is agreed that 2% per month can be added to the outstanding balace, on compound interest rates, from the 28th day prior to the course until fully paid.
- CANCELLATION/POSTPONEMENT/NO SHOW
- There is a 7 day cool off period from your booking dated to cancel a course and your deposit will be returned in full, minus 3% handling charge for card payments or the bank charges incurred for an online bank transfer.
- A student who cannot attend their course through illness or any other extenuating circumstances should contact the School as soon as possible.
- In the event of cancellation prior to the final balance being due only the deposit is forfeited. If cancellation is after the date of final payment the client is liable to pay the outstanding balance, should we be unable to re sell the space. At the company’s discretion we may transfer the reservation to an acceptable alternative date.
- If a student fails to turn up for a course all fees paid will be forfeited.
- Insurance is strongly recommeneded.
- In the event of the School cancelling a charter or course we shall be liable only for the full refund of fees paid. No payment will be paid for incidental costs.
- UNDER 18's
- Under 18's are accepted when sailing with parent or guardian. For Student's under 18 these Terms and Conditons must be accepted by the parent of guardian.
- VESSEL CHANGE
- The company reserve the right to substitute an alternative vessel, due to any vessel becoming unsuitable, for whatever reason. This in no way affects the vailidity of the booking of the Terms and Conditions stated herein they remain good.
- DISCLAIMER
- No liability is accepted for any Student's vehicles parked in the marina grounds, or Student's possessions in the vehicle, on the pontoons or in the Schools yachts or offices.
- No liability is accepted for Students whilst on School grounds, on pontoons or vessels and all students participate in any aspect of any course at their own risk.
- BREAKAGES OR DAMAGES
- All must be reported immediatley to the Sipper, Instructor or Principal. Students shall be liable for any loss or damage to School equipment, vessel's equipment, up to and including the first £100 per item.
- ny shall not accept claims and shall not be liable at any time for claims or expenses caused by circumstances beyond its control including sickness, accident, travel delays, weather, strikes, war or civil unrest..
- No student or charterer shall bring aboard any contraband, drugs or other substance or item without the prior knowledge and permission of the skipper.
- If at any point you have a complaint please talk to the school prinicpal or chief instructor as soon as possible so we are able to try to rectify the issue as soon as possible
- If you wish to complain after the course you should submit your complaint in writing (either by email or letter). Receipt of the complaint will be acknowledged by return, and then 14 days will be given for the school to instigate an investigation. The skipper and the remaining crew will be canvassed to get a balanced view.
- In the event a dispute is not settled by mutual agreement it is agreed that The British Law Society shall appoint an arbiter whose decision shall be final and that wherever the dispute occurred both the client and the company shall be governed by British Law
