One Day Course Syllabi

The aim of the RYA Diesel Engine Course is to give an awareness of the main systems of a marine diesel engine and the ability to take simple measures to prevent mechanical breakdown at sea and rectify defects which do not require workshop support.

The purpose of the RYA Basic Sea Survival for Small Craft Course is to give you an understanding of how to use the safety equipment carried on small boats, including a practical session on launching and boarding a life raft.

The RYA Radar Course gives you an understanding of radar as an aid to navigation and collision avoidance.

The RYA Marine VHF Radio Course is for anyone who operates a fixed or a handheld marine VHF (Very High Frequency) Radio. 

This course is required for your Yachtmaster Coastal and Yachtmaster Offshore, but a great course for anyone going out to sea.
