Yachtmaster Offshore & Coastal Skipper Theory and RYA Coastal Skipper Practical Course
The Yachtmaster Offshore & Coastal Skipper Theory and RYA Coastal Skipper Practical course is based in Puerto Calero on Lanzarote.
This course is over 11 days, starting on a Monday morning and finishing 2 weeks later on the Friday afternoon.
Divided into the shore phases in the classroom and the sea phase. You will do six days in the classroom, followed by 5 days at sea with a one day break between the theory and the practical course. Accommodation is provided from the Sunday 9th October to Saturday 22nd October
The shore phase builds on your knowledge already acquired at Day Skipper Level and moves you to more advanced offshore and night time passages. The theory course is intensive and you will need to have revisited your Day Skipper Theory and thoroughly learn the IRPCS prior to attending.

At the end of the course you will sit three exams

The sea phase will move you from shorter day passages to longer coastal packages and allow you to put into practice everything you learnt during the theory course. There is an increased focus on a higher level of independence, crew management, watch-keeping routines and navigation by day and night in unfamiliar waters.
